Grenada: among the best places to travel in 2018
March 15th 2018
The travel experts from Travel + Leisure have recommended Grenada as one of the best places to travel in 2018. In order to make it on to their list, T+ S's travel advisors took a look at what places are currently at the forefront of the global conversation. In any given year, the cities and countries they recommend as the best places to travel in the world have a lot going on.
Grenada: an under-the-radar gem
Such is the case with Grenada, which remains one of the Caribbean’s under-the-radar gems for the travel industry. The island offers what every traveller is looking for: preserved rain forests, tropical sun, uncrowded beaches and a lively local culture and cuisine.
Grenada was spared last Autumn’s brutal hurricane season and is attracting new luxury travellers at the moment, with a variety of active Hotel Construction projects, like the Kimpton Kawana Bay Hotel.
The 5-star resort development offers a choice of 1-bedroom freehold condominium suites and studios ranging in size from 40m2 to 125m2. All have balconies and superb views along Grand Anse Beach, ranked in the top 30 of CNN’s ‘World’s 100 Best Beaches’.
Getting to the island is a breeze with a modern international airport and direct flights from London, Frankfurt, Miami, New York, Toronto and other nearby islands, as well as a private jet Fixed-Base Operator. The port of Saint George’s has a wide range of ferries that go from island to island, as well as private yachts. Visitors will soon have even more options for high-end stays.
Grenada Citizenship by Investment Options
For those interested in investing in Grenada's blooming tourist industry, one of the best options is the official Citizenship by Investment (CBI) Programme. With the acquisition of CBI, an investor can travel to more than 120 countries without a visa, including the EU Schengen area, the UK, China, Russia, Singapore and the UAE.
The benefits obtained by Grenada under this type of legislation include the creation of new long-term sustainable employment opportunities and, both directly and indirectly, the benefits derived from the new investment that greatly strengthen the national economy.
